The Great Backyard Bird Count is a yearly citizen science project to assist researchers in tracking birds across the entire world. This year, it is open February 13-16. It is not just open for master birders and ornithology professors. Anyone can join the project! Come with me out on the trail and I will assist you in identifying birds and showing you free phone apps and books you can use to identify birds as a complete beginner! This program is also open for the master birders who just want to come participate and maybe learn something new.
Recommended: Sturdy Shoes, Appropriate Clothes for the Weather, Water, Snack (if necessary)
Binoculars or cameras not required but they can always be fun to use if you have the chance to bring them along!
