What a great way to celebrate Earth Day! Enjoy a Ranger-led walk to see lovely spring wildflowers, and, at the same time, help the Ranger remove some "people flowers" (trash and invasive species). Visit a little-known State Natural Area that's less than 25 miles away, and that really needs our help.
Come dressed for the weather and wear sturdy hiking footwear. We'll provide gloves and trash bags. You might want to bring along some water and a snack.
We’ll meet at the big parking lot uphill from park headquarters (former pool parking lot), and drive about a half hour to Watauga River Bluffs State Natural Area.
