PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Potholder Weaving

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Join SIR Kandace to learn how to weave your own potholder! The technique used to weave the potholder is a simple weaving pattern common in most garment construction. This technique works well with a potholder because you are able to use it while you are cooking or to place beverages on. You will be able to take your craft home with you! There is a 10 person limit for this class.

All materials for this program will be provided by the park. The process of making the potholders will take between 30 minutes-1 hour.

This program is suitable for visitors ages 8 and up.

In the event of inclement weather, this program will take place as planned. If this event is cancelled, you will be contacted by the park.
