Description: Binocular/Birding Basics
Location: Burgess Falls State Park
Birds have a vital role in our ecosystem and birding is a fun and inexpensive way to enjoy watching these creatures in their element. It is important to know the proper etiquette of birding and the proper way to use binoculars before you set out. We will talk about the very basics of birding, and we will be walking a short distance in order to use our binoculars.
This program will last less than 1 hour and is recommended for people of all ages who are interested in learning the proper techniques for using binoculars and how they work as well as for those that are interested in birding/birdwatching.
Kids 5 and younger may participate with adult supervision and assistance.
Binoculars will be provided for use during the program. This is a free program, but we ask that you register to ensure we bring enough supplies.
Our site has been experiencing technical difficulties. If you are unable to register for a program, please call the number listed.
