Description: Autumn Pontoon Float 12:00 PM
Location: Rock Island State Park
Join Park Ranger Josh Welch for a relaxing pontoon boat tour along the scenic Collins River at Rock Island State Park. This guided trip highlights the park’s unique history, diverse wildlife, and striking natural features visible only from the water. Guests will have the chance to learn about the river’s role in shaping the landscape and hear stories from the park’s past. Keep an eye out for herons, turtles, and other wildlife along the shoreline.
This family-friendly program is perfect for visitors of all ages who want to experience Rock Island from a different perspective. Whether you are a history buff, a nature lover, or someone who just wants to relax on the pontoon, this trip is great for everyone.
We will depart from the Kings Landing Boat Ramp and make our way down the Collins River to the Rock Island the park is named after. Feel free to bring snacks, water, cameras, and an extra jacket in case it gets chilly! Life jackets are provided and required for all participants. We have plenty of life jackets, but feel free to bring your own. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The cost is $10 per person, and there are limited spaces on these tours, so be sure to register ahead of time. Please arrive 15 minutes early, if possible, to receive gear and a safety briefing. We will also begin the boarding process.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled, and all attendees will be refunded and notified by text message or email, so be sure to provide a good contact when signing up. Refunds will only be offered if the event is cancelled by the park.
