We're excited to announce the 48th Elsie Quarterman Cedar Glade Wildflower Festival, packed with educational walks focusing on various aspects of our park - including birds, butterflies, geology, native plant gardening, edible plants, and more. We've designed activities to be family-friendly, with special programs to introduce children to the beauty of cedar glades and wildflowers.
Check out the full schedule of events closer to date. Please check for registration limits and costs, if applicable.
On Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd, the festival events will take place at Cedars of Lebanon State Park. Some events require pre-registration. To register, please visit the Cedars of Lebanon State Park upcoming events calendar and division of Natural areas upcoming events calendar.
This festival is named in honor of the late Dr. Elsie Quarterman, a renowned biologist and advocate for cedar glades. The wildflower festival is co-sponsored by the Middle Tennessee State University's Center for Cedar Glade Studies.
This event is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the importance of conservation and the reasons why we strive to protect these natural resources. We can't wait to see you in May!
Any and all donations go to support parks to offer such amazing events!
