Description: 2026 Weed Wrangle
Location: Henry Horton State Park
Join us for our weed wrangle event where we will be hosting a seeding event aimed at plant native plants in an area that was overrun by invasive species.
This event will take place at multiple locations around the park, but all participants will meet at the storybook trailhead to begin the day. We will meet on Saturday, March 7th at 9am to go over the seeding process before seeding across the park. Guests are welcome to bring their own gloves, but gloves will be provided. All seeding materials should be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring water, snacks, bug spray, and any other personally needed materials. Please wear closed toed shoes that are comfortable for walking and working. Please wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty.
This event is open to all guests. Please read the Essential Eligibility Criteria document for more information on accessibility. For questions regarding accessibility, please reach out to the host at the provided contact information.
This event requires registration via an external link. Follow the link provided when clicking "register Now" to sign-up for this event. Additional Volunteer Waivers will be provided on-site for guests unable to fill out the online form.
This event is in partnership with Quail Forever, which provided funding and support for seed purchases.
