Description: 2026 New Years Day Land Acquisition Hike (7am)

Location: Radnor Lake State Park

Come join Ranger Brandon Jarratt at 7am on January 1st for a moderate hike to one of the park’s newest 12-acres was acquired in March 2023 thanks to the partnership between the State of Tennessee, Friends of Radnor Lake and a great adjoining landowner to ensure protection of our Lake Trail as we have grown to know it forever. 

This is an off-trail moderate hike (1.5 miles) will allow us to discuss our land acquisition priorities such as watershed and viewshed protection, resource management priorities and view one of our 2024 Big Tree Winners during the hike by the Nashville Tree Foundation.  This 2-hour moderate hike (1.5 miles) will begin at the Walter Criley Visitor Center and is limited to 30 visitors ages 10 and up. Registration is required. Participants should only register if they can attend the entire 2-hour window (7am-9am), are encouraged to wear good hiking shoes & bring bottled water. No pets allowed.
