Description: First Hike: Big Trees of Radnor Lake (8am)

Location: Radnor Lake State Park

Come join Ranger Alexia Shore for a December 30th hike to close out 2025. This strenuous hike will focus on 3 winning trees from our past Nashville Tree Foundation Big Tree Awards. Participants will meet at the Walter Criley Visitor Center, then hike up Otter Creek Road to hike portions of the South Lake Trail and South Cove Trail to view the trees of Radnor Lake. Participants will learn about how to submit a Big Tree for the Nashville Tree Foundation Contest, history of some of our trees and other facts about the trees of Radnor Lake. Registration is required, no pets allowed, and hike is for ages 10 and up. This hike is considered strenuous, and participants are encouraged to bring water, hiking poles and wear good hiking shoes.
