Named for the Chickasaw Indians who once inhabited the area, Chickasaw State Park offers 1,280-acres for recreational use. The park is situated on some of the highest terrain in west Tennessee and encompasses Lake Placid in its entirety. Miles of hiking trails can be found as well as paddle boat rentals on the lake.
