Situated in northwestern Tennessee, Big Cypress Tree State Park is named for the country's largest bald cypress - and what was the largest tree east of the Mississippi River. Although the 1,350 year old Big Cypress Tree was struck by lightning in 1976, the park is known for hiking, picnicking, and nature viewing.
